The June meeting was held Wednesday, June 4 at the Fire Service Institute.
Here are important notes from that meeting and other news.

ATTENDING

WELCOME TO NEW MEMBERS
I'd like to extend a welcome to John Farney, KC9DEM, and Mike Spinar, KC9DSS.

RED CROSS TRAINING
The ARC "Introduction to Disaster" training was presented at our June 4 meeting.
We appreciate the good turnout for this meeting and training.  The damage
assessment training has been scheduled for Sunday July 13 - mark your calendars
now.  More details will be available in the coming weeks.

AMATEUR RADIO AT THE TASTE OF CHAMPAIGN
The Twin City Amateur Radio Club will have an information booth at the Taste
of Champaign in West Side Park Friday, June 20 through Sunday, June 22.  The
booth will be on the north side, and there will be an awning with table and
chairs.  There will be general information about amateur radio and some
information available about ARES as well.  We are looking for people to help
staff the information booth for an hour or two during the weekend. The hours
the booth will need to be staffed are Friday, 6:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m; Saturday,
11:00 a.m.-9:00 p.m.; and Sunday, 12noon-5:00 p.m. If you have some time to
help out this weekend, please contact me at hberg@uiuc.edu or Ben Fisher,
K9BF, at b-fisher@uiuc.edu.


JUNE NET CONTROL STATIONS
We did not assign net control operators for June at our June meeting.  
If you are willing to be a net control operator this month (remaining 
dates June 17, June 24, July 1) please let me know.  The net control 
check-in list has been updated is is available on the web site.

Note: If the designated NCS does not begin by 9:02, then net control 
should be taken by any other member.  Always be prepared.   Remember 
to turn in your check-in sheets at the next monthly meeting.

The net script, check-in sheet, and other documents are available
