giving p part of your weekends to help with these events, This is the third
year of our participation in both of these events and the organizers are very
appreciative of our help.
UPCOMING EVENTS
We have been asked to provide communications support for the Homer, IL
Sesquicentennial celebration to be held on the weekend of June 3-5. I will be
learning about what is required in the next week or so and will have more
information then.
The Twin City Amateur Radio Club is planning on having a table and display at
the Taste of Champaign on the weekend of June 25-26 (this is also Field Day
weekend), and would like to have ARES participation as well. This may involve
demonstrating some equipment, answering questions about ham radio and ARES, and
handing out information. If you are interested in helping out (there's lots of
good food at the Taste) please let me know. There will also be Field Day
activities at Ambucs park in Urbana (former Woodland Park), so it will be a
busy weekend.
